Mine Limestone Rocks beside the water in Dowdun Reach with a Mithril Pickaxe or better. Look in The Lake below Dowdun Reach and along the river in The Courtyard. A lower-tier pickaxe will not mine these nodes, even if you can already reach the area. Limestone Rock reference.
If you need Limestone for glass, the mined item is only the first step: process it into Ground Limestone at a Grindstone. Do not search for Ground Limestone as a separate mining node.
Where to look in Dowdun Reach
Follow the water rather than searching every rocky slope. The resource reference places Limestone Rocks around The Lake and The Courtyard river; the waterfall route below gives you a practical sequence through one cluster. It is a collection route, rather than a list of every Limestone spawn on the map.

Use the water and connected levels to orient the collection route.
Bring your Mithril Pickaxe before starting the circuit. The material comes from named Limestone Rocks, rather than an arbitrary rock deposit. The rock's drop table lists Limestone as an always-drop resource, with a listed quantity of 1–2. Resource and drop details.
Follow the waterfalls from the Wizard
One documented route starts at the Wizard in Dowdun Reach and works upward through the water levels. Follow this order if that landmark is convenient for your approach; it is not a required quest sequence. Waterfall route reference.
- Start at the lower water. From the Wizard, head toward the falling water. The first node is ahead as you approach the water.
- Check beyond the small bridge. Two more nodes sit around the corner in the same lower section.
- Climb to the next level. Cross the bridge, turn right, and take the stairs. At the top, turn right across the second bridge, then turn left.
- Inspect the ledge. This section has one visible node and another below the ledge. Check both elevations before continuing.
- Continue toward the main waterfall. Look to your right for two more nodes along the approach to the water's edge.
- Finish beside the waterfall. The route's final two nodes are just to the right of the waterfall itself.

Cross the bridge and use the stairs to reach the higher water level.
The route passes bridges, stairs, and ledges, so a missed node may be above or below your current path. Work through the lower section before climbing; backtracking between elevations is harder to follow than checking each level as you reach it.
This route does not require you to fight every enemy along the way. Treat avoiding combat as an option that depends on the enemies around you, rather than a guarantee that the circuit is safe.
Turn the mined Limestone into the material you need
| You have | Next action | Result |
|---|---|---|
| 1 Limestone | Process it at a Grindstone | 1 Ground Limestone |
| Ground Limestone for glass | Continue with the Blast Furnace processing chain | Molten Glass is the next glass material |
The Grindstone conversion is one-to-one. Ground Limestone is a distinct processed resource, so check the item name in your inventory if a recipe still appears short of materials. Ground Limestone reference.
For the remaining ingredients and glass processing steps, use the Glass crafting guide. It covers the remaining ingredients, fuel and finished Glass Vessel recipe.
Fix a failed collection run
- The node will not break: check that your equipped tool is a Mithril Pickaxe or better. Reaching Dowdun Reach does not remove the tool requirement.
- The lower route looks empty: check the ledges and higher waterfall levels described above instead of assuming every node is beside the first bridge.
- You mined Limestone but a recipe still needs Ground Limestone: use the Grindstone first. The two inventory items serve different stages of the process.
